Despite numerous favors bestowed upon, why do people transgress all bounds?

 

Verses 1-8 of Chapter 96:
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. Created man from a clot of congealed blood. Read, and your Lord is Most Generous. Who taught knowledge by the pen, taught man what he did not know. Indeed not! Man behaves rebelliously for he deems himself to be self-sufficient, (although) towards your Lord indeed is the return.
