Does God not guide anyone who does not have necessary virtue or in other words, fulfil the minimum criteria?

Verse 23 of Chapter 8:
Had Allah known of any good in them, He would indeed have made them listen; and even if He had made them listen, they would but have turned away with aversion.

Muslims have the responsibility of conveying the message of Islam to others in order to be able to witness on the Day of Judgement!

Verses 77-78 of Chapter 22
O people, who have believed, bow down and prostrate yourselves before Allah, worship your Lord and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true success. Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah as one should. He has chosen you for His service and has not laid on you any hardship in your religion. Therefore, be steadfast in the religion of your father Abraham. Allah had called you "Muslims" before this and has called you (by the same name) in this (Qur'an) also so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you and you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind. Therefore, establish Salat and pay the Zakat dues, and hold fast to Allah, for He is your Guardian: What an excellent Guardian and what an excellent Helper!

The daily five prayers must be performed in time under any circumstance! The detailed method of praying was taught by God!

Verses 238-239 of Chapter 2:
Guard strictly (five obligatory) As-Salawat (the prayers) especially the Middle Salah. And stand before Allah with obedience. And if you fear (an enemy), (perform Salah) on foot or riding. And when you are in safety, then remember Allah (pray) in the manner He has taught you, which you knew not (before).

One must not take the property or goods of others by unjust means or by bribery!

Verse 188 of Chapter 2:
Do not usurp one another's property by unjust means nor offer it to the judges so that you may devour knowingly and unjustly a portion of the goods of others.

What are the criteria of receiving forgiveness from God  regardless of whatever sin one commits?

Verse 82 of Chapter 20:
And indeed I am Most Oft Forgiving for him who repented and accepted faith and did good deeds, and then remained upon guidance.

Those who do not perform daily prayers act according to their lusts!

Verse 59 of Chapter 19:
Then there came after them those degenerate people, who lost their Salat and followed their lusts: so they shall soon encounter the consequences of their deviation.

Committing (evil) deed(s) in response to the invitation of Shytan or its offspring is an act of associating partner(s) with God!

Verse 50 of Chapter 18:
And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam.'' So they prostrated themselves, except Iblis. He was one of the Jinn; he disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you then take him and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers.

Verses 32-44 of Chapter 18:
(O Muhammad,) present a parable before them. There were two persons; to one of those We gave two gardens of vine and surrounded them with a fence of date-palm trees and We kept a piece of land between them for cultivation. Both of the vine-yards yielded abundant fruit and did not fail anywise in bringing forth their produce, and We caused a canal to flow in their midst. And the owner of the gardens got much benefit. In spite of all this, while conversing with his neighbor, he said, “I have more of wealth than you and have mightier men at my service.” Then he entered his “Paradise,” while he was unjust to himself, and said, “I don't think that this wealth of mine will ever perish, and I do not believe that the Hour of Resurrection will ever come. Anyhow if ever I am returned to my Lord, I will get even a grander place than this.”His neighbor rebuked him during the conversation, saying, "What! Do you disbelieve in the Being Who has created you from clay, then from sperm drop and shaped you as a perfect man? As for myself; Allah alone is my Lord and I set up no partners with Him. And when you were entering your garden, why didn't you say, `Only that shall happen what He will: neither I nor any one else has any power. If you find me now less in wealth and offspring than you, my Lord may bestow on me a better garden than yours and send from heaven on your garden a catastrophe that might turn it into a barren plain, or its water might sink into the earth and you may not be able to bring it out in any way." At last (it so happened that) all his fruit produce was destroyed and, seeing his vines overturned on the trellises, he began to wring his hands at the loss of what he had spent on it, saying, "I wish I had not associated a partner with my Lord! "He was so helpless that neither could he find any host to help him against Allah, nor was himself able to avert that catastrophe-It was then that he realized that all the power of helping rests with Allah, the True One. That reward is the best Which He bestows and that end is the-best to which He leads.

Verses 40-41 of Chapter 34:
One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?" They will say, "Glory to Thee! our (tie) is with Thee - as Protector - not with them. Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns: most of them believed in them."

Verses 59-62 of Chapter 36:
(It will be said): "And O you the criminals! Get you apart this Day.'' "Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaytan Verily, he is a plain enemy to you.'' "And that you should worship Me. That is the straight path.'' "And indeed he did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did you not then understand''

How does God prescribe five obligatory prayers of each day ?

Verses 78-79 of Chapter 17:
Perform the Salah from midday till the darkness of the night, and recite the Qur'an in the early dawn. Verily, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn is ever witnessed. And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salah with it as an additional prayer for you. It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqam Mahmud.

Verse 130 of Chapter 20:
So bear patiently what they say, and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some hours of the night, and at the ends of the day, that you may become pleased with the reward which Allah shall give you.
Verses 17-18 of Chapter 30:
So glorify Allah when it is evening for you, and when it is morning. Praise is only for Him in the heavens and the earth and glorify him in the later part of the afternoon and in the afternoon.

Allah enjoins moderation in spending condemning miserliness and forbidding overspending!

Verses 29-30 of Chapter 17:
And let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck, nor overextend it (like a spendthrift), so that you become blameworthy and in severe poverty. Truly, your Lord expands the provision for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills). Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His servants.

Whoever purposefully commits evil deeds and is thus surrounded by sins are the dwellers of the Fire!

Verse 81 of Chapter 2:
Yes! Whosoever earns evil and his sin has surrounded him, they are dwellers of the Fire (i.e. Hell); they will dwell therein forever.

Why does God not accept His servants' act of associating others with Him?

What do the people who associate others with God accept for Him, but deny for themselves?

Verse 71 of Chapter 16
And Allah honored some of you over others with wealth and properties. Then, those who are so honored will by no means hand over their wealth and properties to those (captives of war) whom their right hands possess, so that they may be equal with them in that. Do they then deny the favor of Allah.

Friday, 27 June 2014

Why will God raise (revive) the entire mankind after death on the Day of Judgement (Hereafter)?

Verses 38-40 of Chapter 16:
They solemnly swear by God with their most sacred oaths that "Allah will never raise him who once is dead". Why will He not raise? It is a promise He has made binding on Himself, but most people do not know it. And It must be fulfilled so that He may reveal to them that thing about which they are differing, and that the disbelievers might know that they were liars. (As regards its possibility.) when We desire to bring a thing into existence, We need only say, "Be", and it is there.

Why does God not guide those whom He  leaves to astray?

Verses 35-37 of Chapter 16:
The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message? For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). If thou art anxious for their guidance, yet Allah guideth not such as He leaves to stray, and there is none to help them.

People who do not believe in the Hereafter or dislike worshipping God do so on account of their pride!

Verses 22-23 of Chapter 16:
Your god is one God. But for those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts are in denial, and they are proud.) (23. Certainly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal. Truly, He does not like the proud.

Verse 60 of Chapter 40:
Your Lord says: "Call upon Me. I will answer your prayers. Those who disdain My worship on account of pride, shall certainly enter Hell, disgraced."

On the Day of Judgement, there will be people who will bear not only the full burdens of their sins, but also some burdens of others whom they misled!

Verses 24-25 of Chapter 16:
And when they are asked, "What is it that your Lord has sent down?" they say these are mere fairy tales of the ancients. They say such things so that they should bear the full brunt of their own burdens on the Day of Resurrection together with some of the burdens of those whom they are leading astray in their ignorance. Behold! what a heavy responsibility they are taking on themselves!

Whom does God guide to the right pathway? What is the only way to find comfort in hearts?

Verses 27-29 of Chapter 13:
And those who disbelieved say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord'' Say: "Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides unto Himself those who turn to Him in repentance.'' Those who believed and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. Those who believed, and work righteousness, Tuba is for them and a beautiful place of (final) return.

Does Al-Q'uran possess guidance in sufficient details for human beings?

Verses 111 of Chapter 12:
Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding. It (the Qur'an) is not a forged statement but a confirmation of that which was before it and a detailed explanation of everything and a guide and a mercy for the people who believe.

Verse 89 of Chapter 16:
And on the Day when We resurrect a witness from each nation from among themselves, and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We have revealed the Book (the Qur'an) to you as an explanation of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and good news for the Muslims.

Verse 89 of Chapter 17:
And indeed We have fully explained to mankind, in this Qur'an, every kind of similitude, but most of mankind refuse (the truth and accept nothing) but disbelief.

Verse 54 of Chapter 18:
We have devised different ways in the Qur'an to make the people understand its Message, but man is by nature very contentious.

Does God never make the reward of good doers who have fear for God to be lost in this world?

Verses 56-57 of Chapter 12:
Thus did We give full authority to Yusuf in the land, to take possession therein, when or where he likes. We bestow of Our mercy on whom We will, and We make not to be lost the reward of the good doers. And verily, the reward of the Hereafter is better for those who believed and had Taqwa (fear for God).

Verses 89-90 of Chapter 12:
He said: "Do you know what you did with Yusuf and his brother, when you were ignorant''. They said: "Are you indeed Yusuf'' He said: "I am Yusuf , and this is my brother. Allah has indeed been gracious to us. He who has Taqwa (fear for God), and is patient, then surely, Allah makes not the reward of the good doers to be lost.''

People who desire this worldly life are given the full rewards of their works in this world, but nothing is left except the Fire in the Next World!

Verses 15-16 of Chapter 11:
Those who desire this worldly life and its splendors are given the full reward of their works here and nothing is detracted from it. But there is nothing except the Fire for them in the Next World. (There they shall come to know) that all that they did in this world had come to naught and whatever they did was useless and worthless.

Why is there no compulsion in religion?

Verses 99-100 of Chapter 10:
Had your Lord willed (that all the people of the world should be believers), all the dwellers of the earth would have believed in Him Will you, then, force the people to become believers? No one can believe without Allah's permission, and it is the way of Allah that He throws filth on those who do not use their commonsense.

An established Islamic force is allowed to fight only those enemies who are engaged in fighting it, without committing any sort of aggression!

Verses 190-193 of Chapter 2:
And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight against you but do not commit aggression because Allah does not like aggressors. Fight against them wherever they confront you in combat and drive them out from where they drove you out. Though killing is bad. persecution is worse than killing. Do not fight against them near the Masjid Haram unless they attack you there. And if they attack you first (even in that sacred area), strike them (without any hesitation); this is the due punishment for such disbelievers. If, however, they desist from fighting (you should also do likewise), and know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Go on fighting with them till there is no more a state of tribulation and Allah's way is established instead. Then if they desist from it, there should be no more hostility except against those who had been guilty of cruelty and brutality.(you should also do likewise), and know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Comments: God allowed the believers to fight under the above conditions only in Medina where an Islamic state was established under the leadership of the last prophet, but not in Mecca where the disbelievers had prevented them from openly spreading the message of God and started torturing them before they had to migrate to Medina.

Spending money for the sake of God is the means of nearness to him!

Verses 97-99 of Chapter 9:
The bedouins are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to not know the limits which Allah has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise. And of the bedouins there are some who look upon what they spend (in Allah's cause) as a fine and watch for calamities for you, on them be the calamity of evil. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. And of the bedouins there are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look upon what they spend (in Allah's cause) as means of nearness to Allah, and a cause of receiving the Messenger's invocations. Indeed these (expenditures) are a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to His mercy. Certainly Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Does God punish the transgressors in this world with their wealth and children?

Verses 84-85 of Chapter 9:
And in future you should never say funeral prayer for anyone from among them; who dies nor stand at his grave, for they have denied Allah and His Messenger and died the while they were transgressors. And let not the abundance of their possessions and children delude you; for Allah wills only to chastise them by means of their possessions and children in this world and let their souls depart while they are still disbelievers.

Monday, 7 April 2014

Why did God permanently set hypocrisy deep in their hearts of some people?

Verses 75-77 of Chapter 9:
There are some among them, who made this covenant with Allah: If He gives us of His bounty, we will disburse charity and lead a righteous life." But when Allah enriched them by His bounty, they grew niggardly and went back on their covenant, and paid no heed to it. As a consequence of the breach of the covenant they had made with Allah and the lies they told, He set hypocrisy deep in their hearts that will follow them till the Day when they shall meet Him.

Wednesday, 2 April 2014

Why did God disapprove of the exemption granted by the Holy Prophet to the hypocrites from going to fight (with the army of the Roman Empire)?

Verses 43-49 of Chapter 9:
May Allah forgive you. Why did you grant them leave, until those who told the truth were manifest to you, and you had known the liars. Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, would not ask your leave to be exempted from fighting with their properties and their lives; and Allah is the All-Knower of those who have Taqwa. It is only those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt that ask your leave. So in their doubts they waver. And if they had intended to march out, certainly, they would have made some preparation for it; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth, so He made them lag behind, and it was said (to them): "Sit among those who sit (at home).'' Had they marched out with you, they would have added to you nothing except disorder, and they would have hurried about in your midst (spreading corruption) and sowing sedition among you -- and there are some among you who would have listened to them. And Allah is the All-Knower of the wrongdoers. Verily, they had plotted sedition before, and had upset matters for you, until the truth (victory) came and the decree of Allah became manifest though they hated it. And among them is he who says: "Grant me leave and put me not into trial.'' Surely, they have fallen into trial. And verily, Hell is surrounding the disbelievers.

Without observance of Salah and Zakah, no one can attain the status of 'muslim' ('believer') in the Islamic Community!

Verse 11 of Chapter 9:
But if they repent, perform the Salah and give the Zakah, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat in detail for a people who know.

Sunday, 9 March 2014

What is the common principle  does God apply to withdraw the favor He bestows on any people?

Verses 53-54 of Chapter 8:
This happened in accordance with Allah's way that He does not withdraw the favor He bestows on any people unless they themselves change their ways. Allah hears everything and knows everything. This same principle was applied to the people of Pharaoh and the other peoples before them: when they treated the revelations of Allah as false, We destroyed them in consequence of their sins, and drowned the people of Pharaoh; all these peoples were the workers of iniquity.

Saturday, 8 March 2014

What strategy did God design and implement to start the 1st war between the believers under the leadership of the last prophet and the disbelievers in order to reveal the truth?

Verses 43-44 of Chapter 8:
And remember) when you (the Muslim army) were on the near side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on the ground lower than you. Even if you had made a mutual appointment to meet, you would certainly have failed in the appointment, but (you met) that Allah might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His knowledge), so that those who were to be destroyed (for rejecting the faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who were to live (believers) might live after a clear evidence. And surely, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. And remember) when Allah showed them to you as few in your dream; if He had shown them to you as many, you would surely have been discouraged, and you would surely have disputed in making a decision. But Allah saved (you). Certainly, He is the All-Knower of that is in the breasts. And (remember) when you met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allah might accomplish a matter already ordained, and to Allah return all matters (for decision).

How do the believers (God-fearing people) protect themselves from evil thoughts?

Verses 200-202 of Chapter 7:
And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaytan, then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower. Verily, those who have Taqwa, when an evil thought comes to them from Shaytan, they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright). But (as for) their brothers (the devils' brothers) they (the devils) plunge them deeper into error, and they never stop short.

Sunday, 23 February 2014

The truth that God alone is the Lord worthy of worship is embedded in every soul!

Verses 172-174 of Chapter 7:
And, (O Prophet,) remind the people of the time, when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the Children of Adam, their descendants and made them bear witness about themselves. He asked them, "Am I not your Lord?" They replied, "Most certainly, Thou alone art our Lord; we bear witness to this. " This We did lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, "We were unaware of this thing," or lest you should say, "Our forefathers started the practice of shirk before us and we were born after them to their descendants: dost Thou. then, punish us for the sin that was committed by the wrongdoers?" Behold, this is how We make Our Signs clear so that these people return to the right way.

Saturday, 22 February 2014

The people who inherited the Holy Book, but used to grab the things of this world without having repentance, had the vain desire to be forgiven by God?

Verse 169 of Chapter 7:
Then after them succeeded an (evil) generation, which inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the goods of this low life saying: "(Everything) will be forgiven to us.'' And if (again) the offer of the like (evil pleasures of this world) came their way, they would (again) seize them (would commit those sins). Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them that they would not say about Allah anything but the truth And they have studied what is in it (the Book). And the home in the Hereafter is better for those who have Taqwa. Do not you then understand.

What induces the believers to admonish those who disobey God?

Verses 163-166 of Chapter 7:
And ask them about the township which was situated on the sea shore. Remind them of what befell its people who used to break the Sabbath (Saturday). Each Sabbath-day the fish appeared in abundance before them on the surface of the water but did not appear at all on other days than Sabbath. This was because We were putting them to test on account of the acts of disobedience they did. Also remind them that when some people from among them asked the others the answer that was given by some of them, "Why do you admonish those people whom Allah is about to destroy or punish severely?" they replied, "We admonish them in order to be able to offer an excuse before your Lord and we also hope that they might refrain from disobedience to Him." However, when they totally forgot the teachings they were reminded of, We saved those who used to forbid evil, and seized with a severe scourge all others who were transgressors, because of the acts of disobedience they did. But when even after this they disdainfully persisted in that from which they were forbidden, We said to them, "Become apes-- despised and disgraced!"

Sunday, 16 February 2014

People who have themselves gone astray and misled others as well during the lifetime will receive double torment in hereafter!

Verse 38 of Chapter 7:
(Allah) will say: "Enter you in the company of nations who passed away before you, of men and Jinn, into the Fire.'' Every time a new nation enters, it curses its sister nation (that went before) until they are all together in the Fire. The last of them will say to the first of them: "Our Lord! These misled us, so give them a double torment of the Fire.'' He will say: "For each one there is double (torment), but you know not.''

What are the physical and spiritual conducts enjoined by God during the act of worship?

Verses 29-31 of Chapter 7:
(O Muhammad,) say to them, "My Lord has enjoined justice and righteousness; (He has also enjoined that) you should keep aright your direction during every act of worship and invoke Him alone, dedicating your faith sincerely and exclusively to Him; you shall be created again just as He has created you now. He has shown the Right Way to some but has justly left others to go astray. This is because, instead of Allah, they have made satans their guardians, and yet think that they are on the Right Way." O children of Adam, dress yourselves fully, properly and decently at the time of every worship; eat and drink, but do not transgress, for Allah does not like the transgressors.

Wednesday, 12 February 2014

Believers always feel that their prayers, sacrifice, living and dying in this world are only for God?

Verse162 of Chapter 6:
Say: "Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.''

God will multiply the reward for a good deed while giving only that much of punishment deserved for an evil deed in Hereafter!

Verse 160 of Chapter 6:
Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged.

People who profess to believe but adopt the way of disobedience, are equivalent to those who do not believe!

Verse 158 of Chapter 6:
Do they then wait for anything other than that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord should come, or that some of the Signs of your Lord should come! The day that some of the signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good with his faith. Say: "Wait you! We (too) are waiting."

Sunday, 9 February 2014

Based on what characteristics of people does God decide to lead them astray or guide to the straight path?

Verses 26-27 of Chapter 2:
Well, Allah is not ashamed to cite the similitude of a gnat or of something even more insignificant than this. As for those who believe, they come to know from the same similitude that it is the Revelation from their Lord; but those who disbelieve, say, "What does Allah mean by such similitudes?"Allah leads astray many and guides many to the right way by the same thing. And He leads astray only those who disobey Allah; who break Allah's covenant after ratifying it; who cut asunder what Allah has ordered to be joined, and who produce chaos on the Earth. These are the people who are indeed the losers.

Verses 15-16 of Chapter 5:
O People of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light and a plain Book. Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His permission unto light and guides them to a straight path.

 Verses 125-127 of Chapter 6:
So (the fact is that) whomsoever Allah wills to guide aright, He makes his breast wide open to Islam, and whomsoever He wills to let go astray, He makes his breast narrow and squeezes it so tight that (at the very idea of Islam) he begins to feel as if his soul were climbing up towards the sky. Thus Allah sets the impurity (caused by their deviation from the Way of Islam) over those who do not believe, whereas this Way is the Straight Way of your Lord, and We have made its signs quite clear for those who are amenable to advice. There is an abode of peace or them with their Lord, and He is their Protector because of the good works they are doing.

Verses 146-147 of Chapter 7:
I shall turn away from My Ayat those who behave arrogantly on the earth, without a right, and (even) if they see all the Ayat, they will not believe in them. And if they see the way of righteousness, they will not adopt it as the way, but if they see the way of error, they will adopt that way, that is because they have rejected Our Ayat and were heedless of them. Those who deny Our Ayat and the meeting in the Hereafter, vain are their deeds. Are they requited with anything except what they used to do.

Do the same revelations of God guide those having knowledge (believers) while mislead the wrongdoers (disbelievers)?

Verse 105 of Chapter 6:
Thus do We state Our Revelations over and over again indifferent ways so that the disbelievers might say, "You have learned these (not from Allah but) from someone else;" and so that We may make the Reality plain to those who have knowledge.

Verse 82 of Chapter 17:
And We send down in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, and it increases the wrongdoers in nothing but loss.

Verse 31 of Chapter 74:
And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the People of the Scripture may arrive at a certainty and the believers may increase in faith, and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say, "What does Allah intend by this example'' Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He.

Does believing in the Hereafter (Day of Judgement) lead to believing in the Holy Book (Al-Quran) and sincerely following the instructions therein?

Verses 91-92 of Chapter 6:
Those people formed quite a wrong estimate of Allah, when they said, "Allah has not sent down anything to any man." Ask them: "Then who sent down the Book, which Moses brought: which was Light and Guidance for mankind: which you have divided into fragments, a part of which you show to the people and most of it you hide from them: by which you were given that knowledge which neither you nor your forefathers possessed?" -- Just say, "Allah", and then leave them alone to play with their useless arguments. (Like that Book) this is a Book which We have sent down; it is a blessed Book, it confirms that which was sent down before it, and this has been sent down so that you should warn the people of this central place (Makkah) and those who dwell around it. Those, who believe in the Hereafter, believe in this Book, and observe their prescribed Prayers punctually.

Tuesday, 4 February 2014

How should the believers respond seeing the people engaged in false discourses about Al-Qur'an or deceived by the life of this world?

Verses 68-70 of Chapter 6:
And when you see those who enter into false discourses about Our communications, withdraw from them until they enter into some other discourse, and if the Shaitan causes you to forget, then do not sit after recollection with the unjust people. And nought of the reckoning of their (deeds) shall be against those who guard (against evil), but (theirs) is only to remind, haply they may guard. And leave those who have taken their religion for a play and an idle sport, and whom this world’s life has deceived, and remind (them) thereby lest a soul should be given up to destruction for what it has earned; it shall not have besides Allah any guardian nor an intercessor, and if it should seek to give every compensation, it shall not be accepted from it; these are they who shall be given up to destruction for what they earned; they shall have a drink of boiling water and a painful chastisement because they disbelieved.

At the time of great misfortune the people who set up partners with God call upon Him alone forgetting those partners!

Verses 40-41 of Chapter 6:
Say: "Tell me if Allah's torment comes upon you, or the Hour comes upon you, would you then call upon any one other than Allah (Reply) if you are truthful!'' Nay! To Him alone you call, and, if He willed, He would remove that (distress) for which you call upon Him, and you forget at that time whatever partners you joined with Him (in worship)!

Verse 67 of Chapter 17:
And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon vanish from you except Him. But when He brings you safe to land, you turn away. And man is ever ungrateful.

God accepts the sacrifice (for Him) only from those who have taqwa (fear for God in every action)!

Verses 27-28 of Chapter 5:
And recite to them the story of the two sons of Adam in truth; when each offered a sacrifice, it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: "I will surely, kill you.'' The former said: "Verily, Allah accepts only from those who have Taqwa. "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for I fear Allah; the Lord of all that exists.''

Whom does God bring out of darkness into light and guide to the straight path?

Verses 15-16 of Chapter 5:
O People of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light and a plain Book. Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His permission unto light and guides them to a straight path.

Does God suffice for those who fear Him (have Taqwa) and put trust in Him alone?

Verse 11 of Chapter 5:
O Believers, recall to mind the favor which Allah has (recently) shown to you: when some people intended to do harm to you, Allah restrained their hands from you. Fear Allah in whatever you do for the Believers should put their trust in Allah alone.

Believers must ensure the justice everywhere in life because it is akin to Taqwa (fear for God)!

Verses 8-10 of Chapter 5:
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as just witnesses; and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just, that is nearer to Taqwa; and have Taqwa of Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. Allah has promised those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, that for them there is forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). And they who disbelieve and deny Our Ayat are those who will be the dwellers of the Hell-fire.

How to purify oneself prior to offering prayers!

Verse 6 of Chapter 5:
O Believers, when you rise to offer the Salat, you must wash your faces and hands and arms up to the elbows and wipe your heads with wet hands and wash your feet up to the ankles; and if you have become unclean, cleanse yourselves with a full bath; if, however, you are sick or are on a journey, or if any of you has relieved himself or if you have "touched" women and you can find no water, then cleanse yourselves with pure dust: strike your palms on it and wipe your hands and faces with it. Allah does not will to make life hard for you, but He wills to purify you and complete His blessing upon you so that you may show gratitude.

What will be the fate of the people who believe in some messengers of God and reject others?

Verses 150-152 of Chapter 4:
Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers saying, "We believe in some but reject others,'' and wish to adopt a way in between. They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment. And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards; and Allah is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Testimony must be given for the sake of God even though it is against ourselves, our parents or relatives!

Verse 135 of Chapter 4:
O Believers, be you the standard-bearers of justice and witnesses for the sake of Allah, even though your justice and your evidence might be harmful to yourselves, or to your parents, or to your relatives. It does not matter whether the party concerned is rich or poor: Allah is their greater well-wisher than you; therefore, do not follow your own desire lest you should deviate from doing justice. If you distort your evidence or refrain from the truth, know it well that Allah is fully aware of what you do.

Believers must adhere to Al-Qur'an and the Sunnah (teachings & practices) of the last prophet!

Verses 58-59 of Chapter 4:
(O Muslims), Allah enjoins you to give the trusts into the care of those persons who are worthy of trust and to judge with justice, when you judge between the people. Excellent is the counsel that Allah gives you, for Allah hears everything and sees everything. O Believers, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those entrusted with authority from among you. Then if there arises any dispute about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is the only right way and will be best in regard to the end.

Who among the believers must be trusted and obeyed by other believers?
